Platform lifts and stairlifts
A level change should not decide where you live
Platform lifts, seated stairlifts, inclined wheelchair platforms and rack-and-pinion lifts. At home, in apartment blocks and in public buildings, with permits and tax relief handled by us.
The point
The good solution is the one you do not notice when it is not needed.
The common staircase of an apartment block, six steps at the entrance of a clinic, one floor of a villa. The problem is always the same and the answer almost never: it depends on the width of the flight, on who uses it and how often.
A seated stairlift folds against the wall and leaves the stairs free. An inclined platform carries the wheelchair. A platform lift, with or without an enclosed shaft, serves everyone and needs no machine room.
The survey is free, we prepare the planning file and the tax relief paperwork, and fitting takes two days.

What we install
Four systems for the same problem
-
01

Platform lifts
Up to three metres without an enclosed shaft, beyond that with a glass or panelled structure. 0.15 metres a second, no machine room, domestic power supply.
-
02

Seated stairlifts
Made-to-measure rail, curves included, a folding seat and a remote control. On a 90-centimetre flight the stairs remain usable.
-
03

Inclined wheelchair platforms
The platform carries the wheelchair along the stairs and folds against the wall. For apartment blocks, schools and public offices.
-
04

Rack-and-pinion lifts
For construction sites, industrial plants and large outdoor level changes where rope traction does not pay: the motor climbs with the car along the rack.
How it works
The rail is made to measure, the stairs stay as they are
The stairlift runs on a rail fixed to the treads, not to the wall. It follows curves and the landing, and the seat always stays level.
- 01The rail
Laser-surveyed and bent in the workshop to your staircase, curves included. Fixed to the treads with anchors, not to the wall.
- 02The seat
Swivels at the top, folds away, with a belt and lever controls. Load up to 140 kilograms.
- 03The battery
Charges at the ends of the rail and makes ten trips even without mains power. The supply is a domestic socket.
Schematic. The real rail is designed on the laser survey of your staircase.

03Fitting
Two days for a stairlift, one week for a platform lift with a shaft. Inspection and instruction on site.

Questions
Before you write
Do I need the building's permission?
For a stairlift on the common stairs the owners' meeting must be informed, but Italian law 13 of 1989 allows installation even without a favourable vote, as long as the others can still use the stairs. We prepare the notice.
How long does fitting take?
A straight stairlift in a day, one with curves in two. A platform lift without a shaft in three days, with a glass shaft in a week.
What happens in a power cut?
The stairlift has a battery and makes about ten trips. The platform lift descends to the lowest level and opens its doors. In both cases the toll-free number answers around the clock.
The survey is free
A photograph of the stairs and the number of steps are enough for a first idea of cost.
