The group

A factory in Turin, an office in Prato, one trade

Gruppo Simet has built and installed lifts since 1973. Delta Ascensori, founded in 1995 and an international company since 2013, sells them, designs them and follows them on site. Together we cover the project from drawing to maintenance.

The two companies

One large and one small, and neither would do alone what they do together.

Gruppo Simet is the established company: the factory and head office in Turin, seventeen people across workshop, installation and service, the seven certificates, the SOA class, the maintenance contracts with apartment blocks and with Piedmont's public bodies.

Delta Ascensori International is the growing one: based in Prato, a small team working remotely with its American parent company, private clients and architecture practices in Tuscany and abroad who ask for bespoke lifts and a counterpart who speaks their language.

The first brings manufacturing, paperwork and maintenance. The second brings the market, the project and the care of the client. The site is one because the offer is one.

History

Fifty years in four dates

Gruppo Simet's historical mark: the Simet wordmark with the orange arrow
Gruppo Simet's historical mark. The lockup in this site's header is the proposal for the two companies together.
  1. 1973

    The first lift in Turin

Simet starts making lifts. The plate with the orange arrow goes into the cabins of Turin's apartment blocks.

  2. 1995

    Delta Ascensori is founded

In Prato, to sell and install lifts in the textile district and in Tuscany's residences.

  3. 2013

    Delta goes international

The international company, with its American parent and remote working, takes bespoke lifts outside Italy.

  4. 2023

    The Piedmont framework agreement

Gruppo Simet signs with the Metropolitan City of Turin the agreement to maintain the region's public lifts.

How we work

Whoever designs, builds and maintains talks every day

The technician who will maintain the lift sits in on the design. It sounds like a detail, and it is the reason our lifts have the controller where it can be reached, the room where one can work and the spares that are in stock.

The workshop is in Turin and not on the other side of the world: an oversize cabin is drawn on Monday and cut on Thursday. The quote's lead times are the factory's, not a ship's.

On public sites certified procedures are not a formality: they are how a crew works at height, in a shaft, inside a building open to the public.

The rules

Four things we do not negotiate

01

The survey before the price

No quote without measurements taken by us

02

Manufacturing is ours

Cabins, doors and controllers leave the Turin workshop

03

A person answers the toll-free line

Day and night, with the technician who knows the lift

04

The client is not published

Projects are shown, names only with consent
